IDS Nepal’s role within this project spectrum was to assess the project’s success in relation to its initial objectives, the resources used, its relevance to NRCS policies and priorities, the involvement of women during implementation phases, and the degree of bottom-up and participatory approaches. Additional assessments were conducted as per the mechanisms developed by district chapters and sub-chapters for: the sustainability of the project activities after external technical and financial support ends; the potential of fundraising activities to sustain the project activities; the capacity developed by the saving and credit groups to enhance women leadership to promote health & sanitation in the communities; the present capacity of project management of district chapters and sub-chapters; and the degree of cooperation and collaboration established by district chapters and sub chapters with national, district and local level organizations.
