Improving livelihood and mitigating negative impact in Koshi Tappu Through the Road Connectivity Project (SRCP) IDS Nepal will be engaged in East West Highway(EWH)-Koshi Bridge-EWH road to organize skill development training programs for livelihood and economic enhancement of project affected people, community based preventative awareness campaigns to prevent/mitigate health risks and impacts, road safety awareness programs to prevent/mitigate accidents during construction and operation and improve awareness and stewardship among local people around EWH-Koshi Bridge-EWH road through capacity building program
Preparation of LDRMP for Mahottari The second component of Community Based Flood and Glacial Lake Outburst Risk Reduction Project (CFGORRP) is aimed at reducing flood and GLOF risks. The IDS Nepal team will prepare a gender sensitive and inclusive Local Disaster Risk Management Plan (LDRMP) for Sarpallo and Nainhi VDCs of Mahottari District to support and mobilize their Village Risk Management Committees (VRMC).

Continuation of WASH Activities in schools with WFP’s support The first phase of school wash program was successfully completed leading to phase IIensuring improvement in basic amenities, lack of knowledge/skills and motivation to comply with water and food safety requirements in 968 Schoolsof Six Districts Bajura, Bajhang and Darchula of Far-Western Region and Rukum, Jajarkot and Dailekh of Mid-Western Region. 
Sanitation Coverage in Bara: A follow-up ODF The Global Sanitation Fund (GSF) programme is directed to help achieve the National Goal (NG) of universal sanitation coverage by 2017 and the Sanitation Millenniums Development Goal (MDG) to reach 53% coverage by 2015, with a due focus on achieving Open Defecation Free (ODF) status and sustainable promotion of hygiene and behavioral change; has selected Integrated Development Society Nepal (IDS-Nepal) to support follow-up ODF Campaign in Bara District.
